Sharing Wisdom and Expertise
The provision of Field Services is an important element of the services and support offered only to FULL members of the Victorian Association of State secondary principals.
Our Field Officers provide confidential advice and support to VASSP members who are employed as a principal/acting principal, or assistant principal/acting assistant principal.
Who are Field Officers?
- Recently retired secondary principals who know the landscape of state secondary schools.
- Our Field Officers are the first point of call for our members, offering support, advice and care for VASSP members at all stages of their careers.
- VASSP Field Officers co-facilitate VASSP Regional Meetings-member-only forums where members can engage in discussions, share insights, and seek advice from peers.
Services and Support
Field Officers offer expert advice, advocacy, and support in the following areas:
- Personal and professional matters
- Human Resources/Enterprise bargaining Agreement matters.
- Employee Conduct support.
- Financial management advice.
- Merit Protection Board advice
- Regional Issues
- Re-structuring advice
- Advocacy at a DE and political level.
- Advice on issues relation to staff, student, and parent conduct.
- School operations advice
- Policy interpretation, guidance and support
